Blank State volume Zero: Condopocalypse Now! started the ball rolling. The book is a satire on the Toronto art scene and condo market that U of T’s The Varsity called an engrossing read that “puts our city in the spotlight in a very unexpected way.”
The city is still shut down. The artists are still at war with eachother. And now it really gets weird.
BLANK STATE, VOLUME ONE: DEATH OF A SPEARHOLDER is ready for release. The book takes the twisted world built in Volume Zero and turns it on its ear (moreso), switching perspectives to the Actors, a group of Artists so concerned with portraying the darker side of human nature that they have resorted to cannibalism to do so. Enter a world where the Eaton’s Centre is a horribly crowded Bazaar, and Kensington market is moments away from demolition.
The BLANK STATE BOOK LAUNCH volume ONE will pick up right where the last event left off, more live painting, more alcohol, more of that delicious popcorn everyone loved, and more prize giveaways. Plus a live reading by me, the author, and some mega talented musicians from the Toronto Scene.
